The beautiful clipper Josina Elisabeth first touched water in the year 1900.
For decades she served as a cargo vessel, until an extensive overhaul supplied her with a brand new interior. After this, she began her career as a charter ship sailing the Wadden Sea and Lake IJssel.
The Josina Elisabeth is a fast ship, being comfortable as well a stable. She loves a stiff breeze and the open sea and will happily show you the true art of sailing.
A historical monument and a remarkable sight to see, the Josina Elisabeth promises an adventure you will never forget.
With wide gangways and a high railing outlining the ship, the Josina Elisabeth is very safe to travel on when sailing with children. The spacious seating area has plenty of room for your group to relax in and enjoy the endless view of the Dutch sea and lakes.
Below deck in the day room, you will find everything to make your stay even more pleasant, such as a radio with an MP3-connection and a cd-player. Central heating can be turned up during low temperatures. This means the Josina Elisabeth is an excellent choice for those who wish to sail off-season.
Each cabin has a sink with hot and cold running water, central heating, a reading light and storage space. To that, a small window can be opened when needed.
The kitchen is fully furnished and fitted with a 6 burner stove, an oven, a fridge (600 litres) and 2 sinks. Also an assorted range of pots, pans, plates, cutlery and glasses are available, in order for you to prepare and cook your own meals during the trip. Furthermore, the Josina Elisabeth has an on board barbecue for you to use and a beer tap to really get the party going!
In addition, sanitary facilities can be found below deck; 3 toilets as well as 3 showers are placed for your convenience.
