Utopia
The Utopia sailed for years as a cargo ship in the Netherlands. Now it is a comfortable sailing ship on which you can travel across the Waddensea and IJsselmeer.
The Utopia left the shipyard in the early 19th century and sailed for years as a cargo ship in the Netherlands. Nowaday the you can embark to go on a journey and discover over the Waddensea and IJsselmeer.
With a length of 42 meter, the clipper can accommodate up to 38 people for overnight stay and maximal 60 people on day trips. The Utopia is an eye-catching appearance on the water with its graceful lines and bright blue color.
Aboard at the Utopia
Much attention has been paid to the design of the ship, which is not only practical but also with attention to detail. The first thing you notice when you step on board is the spacious deck with the sheltered seating corner. Here you can fully enjoy the sun, the wind and the beauty of the Waddenzee or the IJsselmeer. Below deck you find the nautically furnished salon with large tables and the fully equipped galley. All the 7 cabins for 2 persons and 6 cabins for 4 persons are provided with running hot and cold water. Furthermore there are no less than 5 showers and 5 toilets.
Certification
The Utopia has a valid CvO (Certificate of research which also includes the inspection of the rigging. The certificate of rigging-inspection of the Utopia is valid until 02-2024. More information about the inspecting can be found by clicking on this LINK.
