The traditional clipper Risico was completed in 1895, on the wharf of van den Adel in Papendrecht.
Built in the glory days of sailing transport, the Risico looks back on a long history of shipping goods and trade. Today, after over 120 years, she still proves to be an excellent ship.
Skipper Daan was born to sail. Keen on keeping away from the common tourist spots, he will take you to the most wonderful places of the Wadden Sea, Lake IJssel and the Frisian Lakes.

On deck, a railing surrounds the ship and wide gangways offer comfortable space to walk around. From the large seating area, you will have a spectacular view over the Dutch scenery.
The ship’s day room has a high ceiling and still breathes the nostalgic atmosphere of old times. Here, you will find all sorts of entertainment to make your sailing trip even more pleasant, such as central heating, a radio, a cd-player, games and a shelf full of books.
Each cabin has a sink with running water, a reading light and storage space for your personal belongings. A little port hole can be opened for a breeze of fresh air and central heating keeps the room warm whenever it is too cold outside.
Below deck, a fully equipped kitchen provides you with everything you need to prepare your own snacks and meals. In the galley you can use a 6 burner stove, an oven, a fridge, a freezer unit and 2 sinks. Also all necessary cooking utensils such as pots, pans, plates, cutlery, crockery and glasses are at your disposal.
The Risico has its own sanitary facilties, which means the ship does not have to dock in a port when you want to use the restroom. For your convenience, a toilet and shower are placed on board.
The cabins have running water ans central heating. All the mattresses are 2 meters, in the cabin in the front of the ship the beds can be extended if necessary
