Ontmoeting

The beautiful tjalk Ontmoeting was built in 1927.

It was 1970 that saw her turned into a charter ship, sailing the Dutch waters. Little draft make this elegant lady the ideal ship to go and discover places where ships with deeper draft can not go.

The spacious deck is surrounded by a high railing and wide gangways.
Sitting on top of the deck, you have a great spot to experience sailing at its best!

Below deck, a homely day room offers all sorts of entertainment, such as a radio, a cd-player, games and a lot of books to choose from. Whenever days get too cold or off-season sailing has your preference, you can turn up the central heating for a pleasant temperature inside the room.

Each cabin has a sink with cold running water, a reading light and storage space for your bags and personal belongings. A little port hole can be opened for a breeze of fresh air and central heating keeps you warm.

The ship’s kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your own snacks and meals during your sailing trip. Here you can use a 4 burner stove, an oven, a fridge and a sink. Also all necessary cooking utensils like pots, pans, plates, cutlery and glasses are at your disposal. On request, we can even supply you with a beer tap!

For your convenience, the ship Ontmoeting also has its own sanitary facilities. On board you will find 1 toilet as well as 1 shower.
