The Johanna Engelina was built in Middelburg, a city located in the Dutch province of Zeeland, first leaving the wharf in 1897.
As a sailing cargo liner, this two-masted clipper transported goods from one Zeeland island to another. After having served as a crane vessel and a house boat, she now sails the Wadden Sea and Lake IJssel as a charter ship, taking her guests on the most memorable trips.
A true sailing monument, the Johanna Engelina is one of fascinating history.
Below deck, a warm and light day room welcomes you to sit down on the comfortable couches, with lots of cosy seating corners to relax in. Whenever it is too cold inside, the central heating makes sure you will enjoy a pleasant temperature throughout your stay. This makes the Johanna Engelina a fine choice for off-season sailing trips through the ever changing Dutch landscape.
All cabins have their own sink with hot and cold running water, central heating, a small reading light and sufficient storage space for your bags and belongings.
The kitchen provides everything you need to make your own snacks and meals during the trip. Here a large stove, an oven, a large fridge, a freezer unit, a coffee machine and a dish washer are at your disposal, as well as an assorted range of pots, pans, plates, cutlery and glasses. Should you primarily wish to focus on sailing instead of cooking, simply ask us to take care of catering for you! To that, the ship is equipped with a barbecue and our team happily provides you with all side dishes and ingredients.
On board, the Johanna Engelina also offers sanitary facilities of 3 toilets and 3 showers.
All cabins with running water, all cabins with central heating.
