The clipper Arbeid Adelt takes us back into history.
In 1936, the new owners decided to name her Eben Haezer and in 1940 the Dutch army confiscated the ship to use as a canteen, In the city of Delfzijl. During the Second World War, she managed to stay clear from at least 3 bombings.
Skipper Jan Jongkind bought the ship in 1972 and renamed her Arbeid Adelt again.
There is nothing he loves more than showing his guests the endless beauty of the Wadden Sea and Lake IJssel.
The deck offers plenty of room for friends and family to sit and enjoy the view. A high railing surrounds the deck, which makes it a safe ship for a family holiday with small children.
In the day room below deck, long tables invite you to have your meals together and central heating makes sure you can also set sail with colder temperatures.
The galley provides you with a 6-burner stove, an oven, a fridge and a freezer, as well as sufficient pans, plates, cutlery and glasses.
To really get the party started, toast with a cold beer from the tap, served with snacks from the fryer. And when you do not feel like cooking, simply light the barbecue for a great dinner on deck!
The cabins are fitted with single bunk beds with storage room underneath. For your convenience, all cabins have a sink with running water and a small reading light. Also central heating is at your disposal, to ensure comfortable nights in the colder seasons.
The Store Baelt has on board sanitary facilities; 4 toilets and 3 showers.
