Welcome aboard sailing ship Ambulant! Set sail for the Waddensea, Lake IJssel and the Frisian Lakes and be amazed by the beautiful nature and the many quaint, little villages of the Netherlands. Booking a stay on one of our ships means booking a holiday you will never forget.
Clipper Ambulant was built in the year 1904. Having served a different purpose on the water, the ship took an overhaul and changed his course to sailing for charter companies on for example the Wadden Sea, Lake IJssel and the Frisian Lakes.
Skipper Jouke knows the best spots on sea and the most beautiful places ashore. His specialty besides sailing? Frying and serving up freshly caught fish, something he does regularly to great pleasure of his guests.
In other words, a holiday with the Ambulant guarantees adventures. It is a ship that will definitely make you feel at home the moment you set foot aboard.
On deck, the Ambulant has a great seating area, a lot of deck space and wide aisles to wander on. This makes it an ideal ship for family sailing trips with small children!
The light and modern day room is fitted with a radio, a cd-player, a tv (on request), an extensive library and games. It is tastefully furnished with long tables, comfortable seats and cosy lighting. Whenever it is too cold inside there’s central heating to make sure there is a pleasant temperature below deck.
The guest accommodation is divided into double cabins and 4-person cabins. All ship cabins have their own sink with running water, central heating, a reading light and sufficient storage.

A range of assorted pots and pans, cutlery, crockery and glasses is at your disposal, so you can prepare your own meals after a nice day on the water.
Also for your convenience are on board sanitary facilities. This means the ship does not have to be docked when nature calls. Below deck you will find 2 toilets as well as 2 showers.
