Saturday April 4 marks the 13th edition of the night sky walk Fjoertoer on Terschelling.
Fjoertoer (Frisian for “lighthouse”) will take you from E-10 in Midsland to the lighthouse Brandaris, crossing beaches, dunes and the woods as you go.
What makes this walk so special, is the fact that you start the course when evening sets in.
To add to the magic, local artists have placed the most amazing structures of fire and light along the track, that will guide the way to the finish at the Brandaris.
For 2020, no date is available yet.

Friday, April 3
The crew welcomes you around 4 PM, and we set sail for Terschelling as soon as all Fjoertoer walkers are on board.
A fitting Captain’s dinner of beans and bacon is served on our way to the island, where we expect to dock around 9 PM. This leaves room for a short walk on the beach or a visit to one of the many bars of Terschelling.
Saturday, April 4
A wholesome breakfast kicks off the day, and it is time to prepare for Fjoertoer with a warming up, or maybe just mentally while sitting on deck.
We gather at the start well before the horn sounds at 3 PM, and a demanding but beautiful walk of 15, 20 or 25 km follows.
After completing Fjoertoer, you can either grab something to eat on the island or return to the ship for a drink.
Sunday, April 5
We head for Harlingen after breakfast, to arrive in port around 3 PM.
On the way back, the skipper will take you on a little trip to the relaxing seals on the sandbanks and a delicious lunch with a nice bowl of Sailor Soup is served.
