Noordvaarder

The sturdy clipper Noordvaarder first touched water in 1909, initially built as a cargo vessel.

To keep up with time, 1945 saw her fitted with a motor. In 1986, she regained her original look by getting back her two masts and a 2010 overhaul turned her into the luxurious charter ship. A final renovation in 2017 replaced all sanitary facilities and gave the kitchen a brand new update.

Aboard the Noordvaarder

A high railing surrounds the deck and wide gangways make it a safe ship for those travelling with small children. The spacious deck welcomes all to sit down and enjoy the spectacular Dutch scenery.

Below deck, a tasteful day room provides you with a radio, a music box, Bluetooth-connection, games and many books to choose from. Whenever days get too cold or off-season sailing has your preference, you can turn up the central heating for a pleasant temperature inside.

All cabins have a private sink with cold running water, 220V, a reading light and storage space for your bags and belongings. A little port hole can be opened when needed and central heating keeps the bedroom nice and warm.

The ship’s kitchen is equipped with everything you need to serve up your own snacks and meals. Here, a 6 burner stove, an oven, 2 large fridges, a freezer unit and a coffee machine are available for use. Also cooking utensils such as pots, pans, plates, cutlery and glasses are at your disposal. The Noordvaarder even has a beer tap installed, so can treat yourself to a cold drink after a great day of sailing!

To that, you will find 2 toilets as well as 2 showers on board.
